Beachfill - Completion of Initial Construction

The project consisted of the installation of Pedestrian, Vehicular and ADA compliant accesses to the beach in several towns on Long Beach Island. The access paths provide easy access for beachgoers at the end of each street. The vehicular accesses create a safe entry point for lifesaving and recreational fishing vehicles. The ADA compliant access paths ensure that all beachgoers have a way to safely access the beach. By the time the project is complete, more than 8 miles of Split Rail Fence and 15 miles of Sand Fence will be installed in order to protect the newly created dune and vegetation from beachgoers.
