Underwater Repairs to Berths 3 & 4
Fairless Hills, PANorthPoint Development issued the Berths 3 & 4 Underwater Repairs Construction Contract to Agate Construction Co., Inc. in August 2022. The Scope of work for the Contract consists of the installation of over 1,100 LF of “Belly Band” repairs which includes forming and pouring a sheet pile encasement to increase the longevity of the existing sheet pile bulkhead. The Scope also includes several Spot Sheet Pile Repairs which consist of the installation of steel members and epoxy grout fill material to repairs fractures and broken locks in the existing sheet pile. The majority of the Project Scope will be performed underwater by certified commercial divers.
